1. Bourbon County (8-1) - The Colonels picked up a huge district road win over Montgomery County 67-62, behind a 22 point, 8 rebound, 8-8 FG shooting performance from Amirion Joyce. They moved up to the #1 spot despite a 70-67 loss at Henry Clay. The Colonels had defeated the Blue Devils just one week earlier.

2. George Rogers Clark (6-2) - The Cardinals fall a spot after losing twice last week. The first was a hard fought 71-66 loss to Ashland. Ashland may be the best team in all of eastern Kentucky, so there is no shame in losing that game. However, the Cardinals were surprising blown out by Louisville Butler 89-59. GRC did beat Paris 81-50.

3. Robertson County (9-0) - The Black Devils string of blowout victories came to an end, but they did manage to stay undefeated. Wins over Nicholas County (69-65) and struggling Breathitt County (83-73) were closer than expected. The competition finally gets stiff this week as Robertson plays in the Gateway Holiday Classic tournament at Montgomery County. Justin Becker is nearly averaging a double-double (28.3 ppg and 9.1 rpg).

4. Bishop Brossart (5-2) - The Mustangs had the week off but moved up in the rankings due to Campbell's County's poor week. Bishop Brossart will play in the Henry County Invitational after Christmas. Ethan Eilerman (19.0 ppg), Carson Schirmer (15.7 ppg), and Stephen Verst (13.6 ppg) are all averaging double figures. The Mustangs only two loses on the year have come against undefeated teams (Newport and Highlands.)

5. Montgomery County (6-3) - The Indians went 2-2 last week with both losses coming to quality teams. They fell to Bourbon County 67-62 and Marion County 60-57. Big man transfer Zach Benton was ruled eligible and played in the win over Lewis County and the loss to Marion County. Sophomore Hagan Harrison (16.6 ppg, 48% 3FG) leads the Indians. They host the Gateway Holiday Classic after Christmas.

6. Campbell County (5-4) - It was a rough week for the Camels. They only won 1 out of 4 games. They lost to Newport (70-52), Conner (60-47) and Lawrence County (64-56). Campbell County really struggled with shooting the ball in those losses.

7. Augusta (6-4) - The Panthers picked up two wins over struggling 10th region teams to solidify their place in the middle of the 10th region pack. They defeated Pendleton County 56-53 and Harrison County 65-56, before falling to the surging Highlands Bluebirds 92-67. Kason Hinson scored 18 in the win over Pendleton County.

8. Mason County (4-3) - Alex Schalch continues to lead the Royals. He had 28 points and 11 rebounds in a 85-76 victory over Bracken County. Mason County picked up a nice win 73-41 win over Fleming County. The Royals will play in the Gateway Holiday Classic in Mt. Sterling.

9. Scott (2-6) - Scott had a winless week, losing to Beechwood (99-61), Grant County (86-74), and Lexington Catholic (87-56). Cameron Patterson has given the Eagles a 3rd scoring option. He had 18 points and 10 rebounds against the mighty Lexington Catholic Knights.

10. Pendleton County (4-6) - The Wildcats lost all four games, but keep the 10th spot by default, since no other teams behind them were impressive. Pendleton showed signs of life in a competitive 56-53 road loss to Augusta. Brett Booth had 19 points and 9 rebounds in a 84-65 loss to Robertson County.

11. Nicholas County (1-6) - The Bluejackets went 0-2 last week, but were impressive in a 69-65 home loss against Robertson County. Noah Gritton scored 24 points in a 84-66 loss to Frankfort. Nicholas County plays in the Brackon County Holiday Showcase tournament after Christmas.

12. Harrison County (1-7) - The Thoroughbreds lost all three games last week. The closest was a 65-56 setback to Augusta. They play in the Henry County Invitational this week.

13. Paris (1-6)- The Greyhounds have played four of the top five teams in the 10th region and none of the games have been competitive. Caleb Johnson led the way with 18 points in a 81-50 district loss to George Rogers Clark.

14. Bracken County (4-6) - The Polar Bears picked up a couple of wins over sub-par teams. They beat Bellevue (89-68) and Villa Madonna (69-66). Bracken County was competitive in a 85-76 home loss to Mason County. Blake Reed put up 30 points against the Royals. This week they host the Bracken County Holiday Showcase.

15. Calvary Christian (5-4) - The Cougars picked up wins over Heritage Academy and Whitefield Academy and lost to two out of state teams. Cross Dugan is average 21.9 points per game and Noah Herald is averaging a double-double.

16. St. Patrick (2-5) - Jaylan Rigdon scored 22 points in a 87-60 loss to St. Joseph Central (Ohio). In a couple of weeks the Saints have an opportunity to move out of the bottom spot. They will face Bracken County on January 7 and Nicholas County on January 10.
