It was an entertaining game.

 

Cov Cath's final possession lasted almost the entire fourth quarter. They converted a 4th and 8 at the Beechwood 35. The Colonels had 1st and goal at the 8 with about 2:30 to go. Beechwood's defense made the goal line stand. The Tigers took possession at the 2 with 40 seconds to go and ran out the clock.

 

There were several big hits by Beechwood's Torin O'Shea and Mitchell Berger. Nazario Pangallo and Collin Fedders each had nice interceptions and returns for the Tigers.

Nice work young Tigers. Beechwood has some nice young talent in the middle school, freshman and sophomore classes. Bright future ahead.

I have not seen the middle school but the freshman class is solid and the sophomore class has a lot of talented players.Those two classes need to work hard this off season because they will be counted on a lot next year.

Great win for the Tigers tonight! Berger is a special player...if he keeps growing...man.

 

The pipeline is indeed rich. The best class may be the current fifth grade class, which has what many believe is going to be a class similar to the class that graduated last year. Very deep, very talented and topped off with some elite hammers.
