Whatever happened to Matt Roberts?- former 6'6 Highlands player.

I understood he transferred to Cincinnati Moeller after his 8th grade year at Highlands where he saw some varsity minutes and played in the 9th region tournament. I noticed his name in the boxscores last year at Moeller but was reading the Enquirer Basketball preview for Cincinnati and there was no mention of him in the Moeller section. He would be a jr. this year and was 6'6 as an 8th grader....did he get hurt... has he improved his game or gotten bigger? Just curious.

According to Moeller's website he's a 6'8" 226 pound center... that's a pretty big boy for a back-up. Their other center is 6'9" 206 pounds. Too bad Moeller can't find any big bodies or else they might have a chance at the GCL this year. :bunny:

Season for them starts December 2nd, so we'll know how he's developed then.

He has had injury problems which has slowed his progression. He has very bad knees.

He was the tallest 6th grader I have ever seen... I think he was 6'4 as a 6th grader or something crazy like that. He looks to have beefed up a bit... the Birds sure could have used him in that Jr. class. I think if they would have had him last season.. .they may have pulled off a victory over the Colonels in the 9th region tourney. They didnt have an answer for NOLL....but he was enfuego so it may not have mattered.
