Hearsay
Bardstown has around a 65 man roster this year with about 525 total student population at the school that seems a tad on the girl side, so say, 48% boys, which translates to about 26%. rjal
Holy Cross Covington averages 235 boys and has approx 34 high schoolers rostered for 14%. They are still recovering from graduating 21 seniors three years ago and only have 3 seniors. There are better numbers in the lower grades, obviously. edited: Now that I look closer that 235 is not accurate although it came from the KHSAA site one of the years listed total population instead of just boys so it skewed the numbers. If you take out the bad number and avg the rest it is 196 for a percentage of 17%. Edited July 31, 2019 by rjal correct

BBN87
During my playing days at Shelby County we averaged roughly 40 on the roster, plus about 10 from the team that went to semi-state when I was a freshman. The school had roughly 1,000 students 9-12 when I was in high school, so about 5% participation rate.
