Shouldn’t we ensure that the draft can’t run to the first game? Speed up time clock or start a little sooner. I know it never gets that close but didn’t want to take a chance.

The clock will go to 2 hours Thursday morning and will conclude quickly after that, and I'm sure that almost nobody drafted that late will be playing on Thursday (other than maybe a kicker or defence).

I was more thinking about free agency since it doesn’t start for 36 hours after the draft ends.

 

Again, I don’t think it’ll take that long, especially with 12 teams.
