Bart Starr Dies At Age 85

Recommended Posts

He was one of many great players on the Lombardi Packer teams. He played just as the NFL was becoming immensely popular because of television. I always thought he was the leader of Green Bay's offense while Ray Nitschke was the defensive leader. He was a tremendous QB in the sense that he was not just a passer but a model of consistency who made clutch plays and made no mistakes.
