Carolina turned it up in both OT's and couldn't get anything to fall until the game winner. There was a part of me that was wondering if they had used up all their chances and Washington was going to steal the win with a bang bang play. I'm glad my intuition was wrong.

Washington pounced on the Canes and led 1-0 after 2 minutes and then 2-0 after the first 6 minutes. It would've been easy to assume it was a formality that the Caps would move on. What is it about a short-handed goal that is the ultimate spark to a big comeback win? Sebastian Aho brought life back into the Canes, just like Nick Foligno did for the Blue Jackets last week to ignite the rally. I love playoff hockey!

Giving up that shorthanded goal with a lead like that was brutal. Absolutely can't do that.
