April 2, 20197 yr Author RJ Barrett was one of the best players in all of college basketball but folks act like he wasn’t good enough to take the final shot. People are weird. Scottie Pippin was a great player. However at the end of a game even though Pippin was great, a guy named Michael Jordan was who the team wanted with the ball in their hands. He was either going to make the shot, or create do much attention it leaves someone wide open. RJ Barrett is great but when you also have one of the most unstoppable forces of all time in college basketball. I think most would want the ball in his hands with the season on the line.
April 2, 20197 yr I am wondering if Duke fans are commenting on one and done or lack of touches for Zion at crunch time. Not here, but elsewhere on Duke talk sites. Are they? Are Duke fans questioning Coach K's flip to one and dones or not enough Zion touches? Yes there are definitely some folks out there that I refuse to discuss basketball with that are speaking this silliness into existence. Every fan base has dummies that talk too much. There have been multiple dummies claiming to be Duke fans attacking RJ and Cam on their Instagram pages. People are stupid. I do still find the discussion around Coach K flipping to one and dones erroneous. He always went after the best players. He just started landing them way more frequently after Kyrie Irving came to town.

Duke turned the ball over twice in a row trying to get it to Zion when they were up 66-63. I guess people conveniently forget that sequence of events.

And to be completely honest I would have been fine with the ball in any of the freshmen’s hands with the season on the line. All four were capable of making a game tying or game winning shot but only Tre or Cam were capable enough to make their free throws if they were fouled.
