Now it is 18-5 at the 12:00 mark. Iowa has not scored in 5:47. All five Cincinnati starters have scored.

I do agree Cincinnati was under seeded but they are getting to play close to home which makes up for it a little bit.

Iowa is a mediocre team. Cincy playing in Columbus is basically a home game for them.

Iowa has closed to 22-16 now after the 8:00 media timeout. Iowa has hit two threes and completed two three point plays.

32-21 Cincinnati at the last media break of the first half. Jenifer is 2/5 from three to lead Cincinnati with 10 points.

Brooks has two fouls for Cincinnati, but Iowa's best player Tyler Cook has been playing with two fouls since the 14 minute mark.

Cincinnati has 8 offensive boards already - dominating the offensive glass. If Cincinnati could start knocking down threes, they'll bury Iowa.

Iowa has closed it to 36-31 at the half. Cincinnati has cooled considerably offensively, and is shooting just 42.9% from the field and are 2/12 from three. They finished the half with nine offensive boards and forced seven turnovers to help compensate.

Cook picks up his third foul for Iowa, but the Hawkeyes have also closed to two points at 37-35. It's the closest they've been since their scoring drought very early in the first half.

Iowa has their first lead since 5-4 at 40-39. The Hawkeyes have trailed by as many as 13. Cincinnati answered right back to make it 42-40.

I've watched UC's last 3 games and they seem to let the tempo dictate their play a lot and end up just settling for jump shots. Need to settle down and get some good looks before IOWA gets a lead and runs away with this one.

Cincinnati answered with an 8-0 run after Iowa's lead to get it back to seven, and leads 52-47 at the under 12 media timeout. Iowa is now hitting over 50% of their shots (51.4%), but have attempted ten less than Cincinnati has. Cumberland is just the fourth leading scorer right now for the Bearcats, with 8.

Back to back threes, and Iowa is back up at 53-52. They're 8/16 from three.

Brooks for Cincinnati and Cook for Iowa each have four fouls now.

I really hate that call. He throws himself I to Brooks and Brooks gets a foul.
