Cowboys 21 Colts 14

Featured Replies

I'll take close wins vs bad teams over losses vs bad teams ANY DAY.

Colts/Giants was week 1, things have changed a lot since then. For example, the Giants have beaten Dallas, Philly, and Washington.

And the Cowboys have lost to NY, Philly and washington.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think Bledsoe started that first meeting.....The 'boys are a heck of a lot better of a team with Romo behind center.

Romo played the entire second half...and threw 3 interceptions.

Romo played the entire second half...and threw 3 interceptions.
And Romo has grown up very quickly since then. There is no question they are better with Romo.
No mistake about it. We're awful …
 At least you're not a homer.

Doesn't mean they are better than the G-Men.

Basically the first meaningful action he had his whole career. Since then he has only two interceptions, and is one of only two QB's in the NFL with a passer rating of over 100. In otherwords on the opposite end of the spectrum in regards to Eli Manning who has no room to complain being he has Plax, Shockey, did have Toomer, then Tiki in the backfield. In case you haven't been watching Romo has lead two drives to set up a win, one in this game against the Colts, and the field goal debacle in Washington. His third down completion rating is uncanny, and he knows where to get the ball. So you can bring up the Romo played the second half versus the Giants but he threw three picks and didn't win talk all you want, but fact of the matter is Romo has been the NFL's iceman since then and only continues to improve. You can also keep bringing on the Giants the NFC East favorite talk, but then again that was back before the injury bug has made a nest and laid eggs on the entire squad, and before the world found out they should have kept Phillip Rivers instead of shipping him and picks for one of the least accurate passers in the League. :thumb:

Please, you watch way too much ESPN if you think Phillip Rivers is better than Eli Manning. But if you choose to listen to their opinion only, instead of forming your own, well I guess that is up to you.

Now let me try and decipher this paragraph of yours.

Eli's stats started to decline so far this year first when he played against Tampa Bay. That one can be chalked up as bad weather. The wind was ridiculous, ask John Gruden, ask Tom Coughlin...ask anyone there. Neither team threw the ball well.

Vs. Houston, Eli and the rest of the Giants played a bad game. It happens, See Dallas vs. Washington...

Last week, Eli was going against one of the best D's in the league without Toomer and Pettitgout for most of the game. He had a 2nd consecutive bad game...oh well, life goes on.

Talking about Romo being an "Ice Man"? Have you seen Eli play in the 4th quarter? He has led the Giants down the field MANY more times than Romo has ever dreamed of for come backs in the 4th quarter.

The one's I know of off the top of my head are his comeback win @ Dallas his rookie season, the come back win vs Denver, the come back win vs Philly, and he's had a few more where he's drove the team down the field and set them up to win.

Yes the Giants have injuries...but they have good reserves. The defense has played well the past 3 games even with the injuries, aside from the Chicago game. The best news is the Giants get Emmons back tonight, and Short/Umenyiora/Strahan/madison are all going to be able to return this season. Most before the big meeting in New York vs...dallas.

I think Eli's pretty much proving it again tonight.....Rivers has better stats and his supporting cast on offense is not much better if at all than Eli's.

I don't have to watch ESPN to form an opinion on who is the better QB. I have had the same opinion ever since draft day 04. I thought the Giants were messing up by going after Eli instead of Roethlisberger for one, and not holding on to Rivers two. Even in college Manning showed a weak arm with not a lot of accuracy. Ben was a big time QB but was knocked because he played for Miami (OH). Rivers was knocked because he had an awkard throwing motion, however, Manning had the pedigree and this is what drew people to him. BUT, he is not Archie, he is not Peyton, and there is nothing wrong with that. Eli is a solid QB but there are handfuls more better than him in the league.....bottom line.

You also can't knock too hard on Romo either. He would be 4-0 right now if it wasn't for a freak field goal fiascole. Like said he is one of only two QB's with a passer rating of over 100, and needless to say has played almost flawlessly in every one of his starts. Yet, things are still unproven about Romo, but so far so good and you cannot take anything away from that.

As for opinions, I like to stay unbias even though I like to see my teams do well. I will say that the Cowboys are on there way up in the division while the Giants appear to be on the way down. As is the Panthers on the way up in the South and New Orleans on the way down. Thats just what happens from the first part of the season to the second, and thats not showing bias, but rather simply being factual.

A weak arm? What are you watching? Eli has a strong arm, some say it might be stronger than Peytons!

The Cowboys have won 2 in a row since getting beat by Washington. The Giants have lost 2 in a row, to pretty good teams. I see this division going down to the wire, but the only way I see the Boys getting it is if the Giants don't get some key defenders back. I hope they come back soon, but if they're not back soon (by the Dallas game or soon after) they may not win the division.
