NewCath's schedule.

Featured Replies

When I first got on this site about four years ago, I and a few others questioned NewCath's schedule. The team was going 10-2, 10-3 but not playing anyone. This year, my how things changed, and my how it has prepared NewCath to rise to the occassion. Facing semi-finalists from all four classes, (Belfry, CovCath, and Ryle) as well as getting to play four games against top-10 teams in Single A, seems to have given the Breds the experience of facing adversity, but of also overcoming it. Congrats, Breds! Big game on Friday.

Yeah, cant complain about the schedule this year, playing teams like Ryle, Belfry, CCH, Holy Cross, and Beechwood.

NCC, Ryle and CovCath have played or scrimmaged each other and I think CovCath scrimmaged Trinity in a passing game.....Just curious, how many of the remaining sixteen teams have played any of the other sixteen teams still playing football.

BTW Congrats to Ryle and NCC....Go NKy

I really think that Newcath did the right thing with the schedule. It has worked for Mayfield for years. You may take your lumps in the beginning of the year but the only thing that counts is what happens at he end of the year. Good luck to NCC.

The schedule next year will be even more difficult than this year.

Tentatively:

1A Bellevue

1A Becchwood

2A Lloyd (district)

2A Newport (district)

2A Holy Cross (district)

5A CovCath

6A Ryle

6A Simon Kenton

6A Conner

6A Campbell Co.

I wish Belfry and NCC could keep that game, I would love to see an annual home/home game between the two.

Not as long as you know who coaches the Breds... He won't play the Birds...
