Quite a turnaround from the first time these two met a few weeks ago. Great defensive effort from Russell today and the shots weren't falling for Bath County like they did in Owingsville.

Charlie J with another big game, finishing with 21 points.

It was good to see Charlie Betchel back out there today.

They haven't had much of an interior presence lately. His return should add a dynamic that Russell was missing during his absence.

Bath is a very tough team to figure out.

Not hard to figure out in this case....Bath County played their 3rd game in 4 days (2nd in less than 24 hours) in the Ashland area with their 2nd leading scorer and leading rebounder Jake Porter on the bench in street clothes injured from the West Carter game. Russell did play much better than the 1st game but Bath County out of gas from the start.

Did not know they had a player out but I also was talking about losing by 23 to Montgomery Co. And losing by 5 at home to Fleming Co.

Starting Center out in MoCo having to play Davis and Cockrell inside. They combined for 29 pts and 15 boards. Still did not play well overall but that was a factor.

Fleming Co game had starting center and 2 guard out but had a 13 point lead starting the 4th quarter. Played worst quarter of the year in the 4th. Wheels fell off. Credit Fleming for taking advantage of turnovers and hitting shots to comeback and win.
