gchs_uk9
Garrard and Boyle scratched and clawed all night before Garrard picked up the victory. On a couple of occasions Garrard pushed out to seemingly large enough leads (once nine, once seven) but Boyle kept responding. Boyle did a really good job of rebounding. But in the end Garrard had enough to get the win over the Rebels. On the night, Garrard junior Brayden Sebastian scored 26 points to become the thirteenth boy in school history to reach 1,000 for his career. On a side note, with this win Coach Young becomes first head coach since Lee Deforest (2007-09) to beat every district team in his tenure. Per Matt Overing. That may seem insignificant to some, but the stability he’s brought to Garrard County should be commended.
