The Hornets (2-8) will make a long drive for the first round to face District 5 champ Walton-Verona (8-2). The Bearcats pitched a 2A best seven shutouts during the regular season.

Anyone know anything about Metcalfe County?

Metcalfe is a very young team. The Hornets have blown, I believe, four second half leads this season. They have a bright future ahead of them but I wouldn’t expect this one to be very close (hope I’m wrong). I’ll be making the long drive up there for this one. If anyone else will be in attendance I’d like to meet some of the folks on here. Hopefully it won’t be too wet.

Have a safe drive up and I hope it is a good game as well!

Don't let the records fool you. Metcalfe has good players and they will play very hard. Walton needs to come out and put the gas pedal down early. I'll take walton by a couple. Hoping for a good game!

Hopefully it won't be wet. The latest models have it at a 20% chance for rain Friday night in NKY. Safe travels.

Fortunately W-V has field turf.
