Leslie @ Middlesboro II

Featured Replies

Middlesboro won the first matchup @ Middlesboro by the score of 21-6. This game is also played @ the 'boro. Who wins this game on the 10th of November ???????

If it is dry conditions, I think Middlesboro wins big because of the all-around team speed. On a sloppy field like last time, I would say it will be a very similar game to the last one.

I hope everyone is healthy for the Leslie County game.

Ford came back a couple of weeks ago for the Leslie County game but was not 100% he had been playing on a sore ankle and he again went out last week against Cawood as did Hunter Adams.

I heard Earls will be back next week but as of right now I don't know about Adams or Ford.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Middlesboro 28-12.

Anybody have any injury updates?

Ford had some ankle problems still, but he mainly sat out the 2nd half to rest for this week. As for Earls, he WILL be back for this Friday night (barring injury at practice). Hunter's condition is questionable for what I understood. They thought it might just be a sprained ligament or ankle, but Hunter did say he heard a "pop", and that had Donnie Grigsby a bit concerned. I'll see what I can do about getting somekind of update on Hunter Adams. I think they were going to take him to the DR to get X-rays to check it out, but I'm not sure about that.

As far as Friday night goes, I agree with 13th. If it stays dry, and they can get the field in good condition, it could be a very long night for the Eagles. They may soar in, but they might be walking out. I think Middlesboro uses it's team speed to overwhelm the Eagles. MHS 35-14.

This is a dangerous game for Middlesboro in much the same way as it was for Breathitt last week.

Teams with outstanding defenses tend to do better at playoff time. Leslie Co. has that. And...the Eagles are starting to show life on the offensive side.

If the Eagles stay within a score of the Jackets at halftime...LOOK OUT. Defensive teams usually get stronger in the 2nd half.

Update on Hunter Adams:

Hunter is alright and should play Friday night. Middlesboro hospital did x-rays and said that he had a cracked bone in his foot. They took Hunter to Knoxville and they said that he had a high ankle sprain and that the "cracked bone" was his growth plate!!! Middlesboro ARH can really stink sometimes. Sheezzzze.

Looks like Middlesboro will be at full strength.

Thanks for the great news WCF.:thumb:

Well on the same field conditions earlier in the season, Middlesboro only gave up 6 to Leslie and Leslie gave up 20 to the Jackets. How is it that Leslie is the only one considered to have an "outstanding" defense.

Defense is Leslie's strong suit.

It doesn't appear to be Middlesboro's.

That is true. However, when comparing defenses in matchups such as this, it seems only reasonable to say that Middlesboro's defense is better at stopping Leslie than Leslie's is at stopping Middlesboro's; based on the regular season game.

Leslie's defense let Middlesboro score 20 points while Middlesboro's defense only let Leslie's score 6.
