How far can the Jumpers’ defense take them this year? They've pitched four shutouts, held Hazard to their lowest point total of the season, and held Raceland to their second lowest. They've only giving up about 144 yards per game, ranking them among the best in the class.

I was beginning to wonder if perhaps one of top tier teams from the east could be a real threat to Beechwood in 1A this year. However, judging by the common opponent in Somerset, maybe I should stop wondering. I believe the BW / Somerset game was total domination before it was canceled early in the 2nd quarter.

Yes, but that average would be a lot higher if they played Beechwood more than a quarter and two minutes (gave up 28). The Briar Jumpers, by the way my favorite mascot name in KY,had no problems with Danville and LCA. Holding Hazard and Raceland down is a big deal. I am hoping the Jumpers go far. I see them at least making it to Regional Final this year. A lot of teams sometimes have that one game where things go sideways, hoping they had theirs up north and hey seem to be finding their groove.

Grundy is back, which should help the offense. They really just need to trust their run game and stop trying to put too much pressure on the young QB and they will get more out of the offense. Probably not going to light up the scoreboard, but it will carry them along.

To answer the question of the thread though, Somerset should make it to the Semi-Finals. Once they get there though they are more than likely going to be playing the winner of CAL/DeSales which is a tall task for anyone. It will be a home game in the semis at least.
