Logan County 10 Hopkinsville 6

Final

I just feel so bitterly sad for Hopkinsville. It's still great to see Logan County winning, but man, Hoptown just got the crap end of the stick.

According to WHOP radio stats after the game, Logan County had 19 accepted penalties for 151 yards. I think he said Hopkinsville had 9 for 90 yards but couldn’t hear that part clearly.

Hard game to watch in the second half. Both teams had backup QBs in and neither team could move the ball much on the ground, and if they did it was called back on a penalty. Thought maybe Logan County was improved enough to win by a couple of touchdowns, especially in light of Hopkinsville”s injury misfortune. Tigers fought hard and had the speed advantage but their playbook was just too limited. Dunn has a good arm and I think he would actually make a good quarterback but he hasn’t had the reps.

Maybe by playoff time they will bounce back like last year.

Have no idea about the severity of LC QB Tyler Ezell”s injury. If he is out for an extended time the Cougars will struggle. They didn’t seem to change their playcalling much after he went out as the backup (I never heard his name) threw it as much if not more than Ezell did but was not as effective.

DragonFire said in the update thread that the district seems to be Madisonville”s to lose and I agree.
