I'm sitting here without a playoff game to worry about so I thought I would go ahead and get next years schedule out. I'm pretty sure about the dates, but I may have some of the sites reversed. I was glad to see that we were able to keep some of our traditional rivals while incorporating the new district games.

Wonder if Corbin could slide into that 9-21 opening on the schedule.

I'm guessing no, but it might work. Lynn Camp only has nine games now that Berea has dropped from district and varsity play.

Our like our schedule next season, opening up with a good Lou. Western team, also good to see the likes of Middlesboro and Hazard on the schedule along with our old district rivals. It will also be fun to see the Whitley and Lynn Camp game so late in the season, when that has been played in late Aug, or early to mid Sept.

It is a very good schedule for any 1A team. I did see where Western was losing I believe a bunch of seniors, close to 20 but they will still be a good team.

Does Corbin have a 9/21 opening of their own to fill? I think that LC might listen. If a deal could be reached, It would be a good gate. At least it's close and would draw it's fair share of interest. I'd rather have Corbin on the schedule than a trip to somewhere like Ludlow or somewhere that far out. I'm sure they would rather travel across town, or vice versa, than have to go to Louisville or Lexington to get a game, also.

I have heard that Lynn Camp may try to move the Whitley County game to the Sept. 21 date and try to fill the Oct. 12 Date. If that doesn't work out then they will have to fill the Sept. date. They could also keep the Sept. 21 date open and fill the Oct. 5 date, but that is a last resort because that is the week of their fall break and they don't like to play that week.

If any school has one of those dates open they should try to contact coach Mitchell at Lynn Camp to work something out. I know he worked hard to get the schedule finished early because he was worried about finding the extra non-district games.
