A lot of blame has been placed on the talent, but over that span no one really out recruited them...maybe Alabama but even that is close.

 

And Texas A&M paid Jimbo how much?

I see possibly 6 more losses on that schedule. I really do hope Taggart can be successful down there though.

Jimbo won a title at FSU. And then they went 7-6 three years later as he quit on the team and the program. I’ll never forget how Jimbo left this program in shambles. He left it in worse shape than Bobby did.

Talent recruited, but never developed. The problems begin at the offensive line, which has been awful for years. When they won the national title game, their offensive line was almost impenetrable. Every year since you have seen their quarterbacks running for their lives. In fact, look at FSU in their national title year when the 2s came in. Jacob Coker (who would go on to win a title at Alabama) was lost for the season behind that backup offensive line. The reason why many FSU fans lost their patience with Jimbo and one of the major reasons he split was because he refused to make changes in coaching at that position. Francois took an unreal amount of punishment in his freshman year, got knocked out last year because of it, and now you're seeing the same thing again. If you can't block, you can do precious little on offense. You'd better be PERFECT in your playcalling if you can't block. And guess what - Willie ain't perfect at that by a longshot.

 

Totally agree on the o-line. Tackles looked like they were standing still.
