This will be the last game of what was once the best of rivalries in the BG area. The distance between the two programs has grown to a point that the game is no longer needed by either side. There are some great memories for fans of both sides from the 1970's thru 2012. Sadly, the players on the field tonight will never experience the excitement that this game has provided for so many.

I thought this remained on the schedule for the next two years? I actually assumed Warren Central would never walk away from it out of pride.

But 100% it is lamentable that the rivalry withered. It really hasn’t been what it was since the mid 90s but did have many competitive games after that. The world around Central just changed with Greenwood then South Warren.

2011 seems so long ago, when the El was just stuffed for that regular season game.

Surely they won’t end the series. That would be a shame.

27-0 Bowling Green at the half. I imagine they’re taking it pretty easy.
