Final

Not totally surprised here. McLean is good

If this game was about 3 minutes longer, McLean probably wins it. Make no mistake, McLean has a good football team. Defensively they were very impressive at all 3 levels. Offensively it looked like they completely wore down Apollo and had them on the ropes. I saw a lot of hands on knees from the Eagles defense. Coach Zach Wagner has done a tremendous job at McLean. As for Apollo, part of me thinks they thought they were going to walk thru this one and we’re caught a little off guard by how physical the Cougars were. It’s a good lesson to be learned. Lessons are always easier when you find a way to escape with the W.

I’ll be a little concern to if you only scored 2 offensive TD’s against McLean(Kick off return TD). After this week the season really starts for them. Graves on the road will be first true test.
