McCreary Central ended this season tied for the best record ever and the best since 2000.

New, old, head coach Clinton Gay put some bright spots in the team this year with a higher-powered offense and a more stout defense.

McCreary outscored their oponents 226-161, scoring 42 points three times, 44 once and putting 30 up against Powell.

For many other teams this schedule would have made them undefeated, but for a team that has struggled all through it's past, it is a step foward. They could of easily been 6-4, which would have been the best record ever, if they wouldn't of had 91 yards of penalties in the first quarter of their home season ender against Pendleton.

They'll be joining a district that they may not get a win in next year:

District-4-7- Bell County, Knox Central, Madison Southern, McCreary Central, Rockcastle County

From one "Raider" team to another, congratulations on a successful season. Keep up the good work!

Congrats to Coach Gay and the McCreary football team :thumb:

They probably will have a hard time getting a win in that district next year. However, just the fact that McCreary has made enough progress to get back into district competition shows that they are heading in the right direction. Congrats on the 5 wins and keep up the good work.

Congrats on a fine season. Looking forward to next year already.....

If coach Bozeman keeps on sending coach Clinton Gay quality players from the middle school level you never know they could end up being a competitor in the district on down the road.
