Campbell Co. vs Boone Co. Playoff Game

Featured Replies

So you mean dropping the winning touchdown that knowbody was within 5 yards of defending means it worked, then stay with that game plan.

 When was the winning touchdown dropped? Please refresh my memory.

Dixie limitted a Campbell County team that was averaging 39+ points per game to 17 points on their home field on senior night. I would say that worked pretty well.

nees, I sure hope we can see you guys again in a couple of weeks at your place. Trust this, the Camels felt this one just got away. Your go ahead points came off of big Camel mistakes. You guys played well for 4 quarters. Camels came alive in the 4th. In the rematch, if it happens and Camels play for 4 quarters then I suspect your confidence will not be so independent. A game plan that worked when the critical Camel play was a misread. Wow. Thanks for the inspiration! Oh, by the way please double cover Griffin again. I can think of two other go to receivers you will have a hard time covering out of that set up.

But in the meantime, I think you need to check on the Ryle game. I do not think I would be spending time here vs. making sure you can be in around in week 2.

I merely stated my opinion in the above post. I only saw the Camels play one game this year against Dixie. In the first two drives, it was Brown to Griffin, which in their second drive I believe, led to a touchdown. After that second drive, Dixie doubled Griffin with #24 at the line provided bump-and-run coverage with Mosier over the top. By doing that, they took Griffin out of the game. Then with the blitz schemes of the linebackers and d-line, they were able to pressure Brown. When that pressure came, I saw a quarterback that panicked and threw the ball up for grabs. I didn't see a calm qb who was able to make something happen with his feet or find these other receivers you speak of. This continued throughout the game until the 4th quarter where Dixie went back to a man coverage on Griffin. Yes, Dixie's go ahead touchdown was the result of a dropped ball. However, Dixie made the play. Hey, maybe Brown had an off-night that Friday night, I don't know. I do know though that a Dixie defense was able to limit an offense that averages 39+ points per game to only 17 points. Even if Dixie would've lost 17 to 0, I would still be saying the same thing. I saw a weakness in that Campbell County team on that one Friday night.

Im not going to try to convince anyone. I am a Campbell County fan so i think they are going to win 31-21.

thankyou very much!!!

The play right before the QB ran the wrong way on the 4th an goal from the one, witch by the way he walks in if he runs the correct hole, in the endzone. The kid (QB) just had an off night, was'nt as sharp as the other nights. This team is only going to go as far as this kid takes them. With that said you cannot give good teams turnovers and that's what killed us against you guys, granite good game plan but it was'nt what made us loose this game. Hopefully your QB is ready to go and you guy's win and we win, then we can do it again at your house.

Camels by 7

Im picking my Camels by 10, it will be a much closer game than the first one. But a even better game. Look for Brian Sauerbeck to have a big game at LB.
