Solid showing by CAL!

Not a bad first game for both teams. The line play for South did very well against a much bigger CAL team. Very proud of the way both the OL and DL played for South. Both teams will need to improve their passing game if they want to make a deep run come Nov. Neither QB had a good night throwing, missing wide open receivers on several occasions. That allowed CAL to stack the box and keep Souths running game in check. On the CAL side of the ball it stalled drives and kept the scoring low. I thought overall both teams learned a lot about their new starters and will improve in the coming weeks.

Heard that #3 for CAL, Milton Wright, is an Alabama recruit and did some impressive things last night.
