July 9, 20188 yr We have two rule changes for this year: 1) If one of the teams that was supposed to sit out a year gets to return to the league without sitting out, they have the option of getting their team back or rolling for another team. 2) If you only keep one player and you drafted that player in the 8th round or later in the previous year then you give up your 2nd round pick, not the first, in this year's draft.
July 15, 20188 yr The round they were drafted doesn’t matter for any of it. You can keep up to 2 players. They take up the 1st and 2nd round picks you’d normally make. Keep 1 player (lose 1st round pick) Keep 2 players (lose 1st and 2nd round pick) Keep 0 players (draft in 1st & 2nd round) Hope his helps @P_G

Lol He was asking about the round they were drafted, not about keepers via trade in general. Round a keeper via trade acquired doesn’t matter. Maybe I’m missing something from his post or overlooked something.

And I thought you were saying draft spot didn’t matter at all, not about aquired by trade. But I would think if they were drafted after rd 8, they’d still get the benefit even if they were aquired by trade.

It was something that was asked for and we didn’t see a big impact on the league by implementing it. Personally I don’t see anyone keeping a player they drafted in the 8th round or later many times.
