Good luck getting the travel request approved for that.

That may be difficult but its something that can be planned or requested in advance and since not much else is going on it could be approved. But I see your point that it would be an issue for some. But not all and likely only a few.

Not changing a few days before the event it cant.

Further more you want the teams that traveled for 4 plus to then get off a bus, go play pool rounds, get back to hotel around 11pm eat, shower, bed, then be up at 4am to be at the school by 6am for bracket rounds.

No, your still missing it. If I had a 4 hour bus drive I would leave at least at noon to get there to play at 6pm. You are done 9pm and at the hotel at 10pm. You have to arrange for food to be delivered there.

I said the games start at 7 am not 6. So you are up at 5:30.

You either want to do this or you don't. I didn't say it was easy. Winning isn't easy. You either strive for it or you sit home and play Terrible County in the low hanging fruit games and make yourself feel good and wonder why you don't win when it matters.

You either believe it will help you or you don't. You can make that decision for yourself.

Then plan on the schedule I proposed for a July heat index influenced event.

Permission granted.

Purple88 is correct.

7on7s will always have to be played post dead period, mid July. Heat will be factor 8 out of 10 years. You adjust tourney so your not competing with Mother Nature. When the July 7on7 invites goes out (late Spring), teams that want to participate can and teams that can’t participate due to $ or anything else for that matter can gracefully decline.

Name of game in life is learn from your mistakes. Just don’t plan a tourney with teams from multiple states with game times throughout the heat of the day

Bowling green followed the schedule purples88 is proposing the last 10 years in dalton ga. Pool games started late afternoon on Friday. Tourney started early sat. Every team there with less than 2 hour drive just drove twice. You stayed if you were further away. You are there Fri night anyway staying the night so why not play and yes there were many years where you get out of the car fri and warm up 15 min and play. It’s funny because I never heard one kid complain. If it’s july and 100 degrees if you have your kids running routes an hour before a 7 on 7 game for pool play then as a coach aren’t doing your kids any favors

Easy solution. Don't schedule a huge tourney during the day in mid July in Kentucky. Never should have been scheduled. Wouldnt even plan a fishing trip 30 minutes from here this time of year.

When things like this happen, you always hear the coaches muttering "This is what happens when you take 7 on 7 out of June."

Both days were hot. McCracken folks did a great job of running it and communicating.

Madisonville played two qbs. The starter ran the first two series (a score and dropped

ball in end zone) and the backup ran the other two series.
