No it is true international basketball players all want to play guard even at 6'9". Put three of these big guys on the floor with the runts at Whitley and it looks like a different game.

Wow! I hate this for those kids who have suffered through the last couple of years, and now if this is true they will not get to play. What a shame?

Mr. Mutt is just messing with everyone. Lord knows Coach Deaton is not a supporter of bringing in foreign players. He fought it day and night while Principal at Pulaski Co. You can always count on the Mutt for a good laugh. He needs to do some stand up routines or at least write a few songs like Ol' Bubba.

IMO this kind of talk coming from MtMutt is actually hurting his team. They are a young team with a good amount of talent, they just can't compete as of yet. But, talk like this could make these 60 point favorite teams run the score up on the Colonels thus, hurting their momentum to get better. When a team beats you by 60 or more points your team is down. I appreciate his love for his team but lets leave the stitches and head bashing out of basketball. This will only give his team a bad name for brawling and fighting. Mtmutt lets try to talk a little more positive about what we have this year and commend the team for all their effort. Talking trash only makes other teams want to run up the score and those Whiltey County boys don't need that right now.

I totally agree. I'm sure the last thing coach Deaton wants is someone running their mouth, which in turn could be a negative for the program. I know Mutt loves the Colonels, but he needs to follow your lead and be positive.

Everyone needs to remember the rules.

This will be the meanest most agressive team in the history of Whitley County. This bunch will guard your behind from the time you get off the bus untill you are reseated and heading home. Whitley will lead the 13th in floor burns, stitches, head knots, bruising screens, collecting loose balls and in your face intimidating defense. They are led by the a Bobby Knight prototype who refuses to allow his players to even think about losing. Losing is an unacceptable concept in Mike Deatons Camp. The only thing in the gymnasium meaner than the kids this season will be Coach Deaton and Deatons biggest fan the Mountainmutt.

 

Whitley fans get out to Charles M Lawson Gymasium cause the Colonels are going to be ready to rumble. There will be no 60 point routes like last year. This bunch and their leader had rather crawl on a bed of broken glass than to lose their manhood in a 60 point qroute.

 

Colonel Pride is back and the South Whitley boys are ready to bust some heads.

Yep, hard to believe that Deaton would get beat by 50 when Guffey lost by 45. Kinda like a dog chasing the tail. Maybe not just the coaching....Deaton is the best money can buy. I'm sure he's not too happy tonight, but he's not alone.
