I thought the refs were horrible. I’m amazed this is the best the 11th Region has to offer.

Definitely agree that it was a great game and it was a shame someone had to lose. Lincoln County is tough and I believe heir entire starting lineup will be back next season. I’d say they are the early favorite to win the 12th Region next year. Emma King, Maddie Boyle and Wilkes will take this team places next year and their coach, Cassandra McWhorter is a damn good coach. Lincoln County is going to be a problem next year.

If there was ever a night to defeat Mercer County tonight was that night. Normally they are a team with balanced scoring and that is when they are at their best. You kept waiting for the onslaught to come and it never came. Seygan Robins and Toni McCombs carried the Mercer County offense tonight as they were both literally unguardable tonight. The jumpers just weren’t falling for the Titans tonight but they still managed to find a way to get points or turnovers when they needed them the most.

 

Lincoln County uncharacteristically missed a ton of free throws tonight and I believe they missed 7 in the first half alone. I believe as a team they shot close to 80% from the free throw line for the season but tonight the free throws weren’t falling for them. Emma King threw her name into the ring for Miss Basketball 2019 tonight as the UK commit was scoring from all over.

 

I think when both teams look at this game they’ll learn from where they went wrong and fix it going forward. Outstanding game though. Great atmosphere. The Lincoln County gym was packed to the rafters and the crowd was loud and into it all night. Great great game tonight.

If anyone wants to know why Seygan Robins should win Miss Basketball all they need to do is watch this game. Find a video copy of it or something. What she did tonight is what Miss Basketball should do. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Great win for Mercer. It helps having the best player in the State, Seygan Robins on your team. She's so much fun to watch, when Lincoln went up 1 late in the 4th Seygan drove right down the court for an and 1. She's the real deal. Emma King for Lincoln is also the real deal. She will be hard to deal with next year. Lincoln, Casey, and Southwestern should battle it out in the 12th next year.

Mercer will not be nearly as good as they’ve been the last couple seasons, but there are several young titans that have been going against these seniors in practice every day, who would start for most teams. So I wouldn’t be surprised to see them challenge again real soon. Maybe even next season! You guys nailed it on this one, Seygan was spectacular tonight and wouldn’t be denied!

Way agreed re the officiating. Just. Plain. Awful.

 

The just-look-at-Emma-King-wrong fouls were insanely bad. Conversely, this kind of standard did not apply when Mercer was on offense.

 

Would think the 11th Region could offer better officiating than what we are getting this year. Unfortunate.
