Who will be the top sprinters in nky this year?

Seth Evers, Bellevue - 100, 200

Lamail Borders, Conner - 200, 100

Bryce Donnelly, Bishop Brossart - 400, 200, 100

Juliet Mcgregor, Ryle - 100, 200

Natalie Pope, St. Henry - 200, 400, 100

Audrey Pelster, Beechwood - 400, 200

I particularly like both Donnelly and Pope. Both are versatile enough to do well in all three events.

Luke Summe with a 51.19 in the 400 this past weekend at the Villa Madonna meet. Being the first event of the outdoor season, this is an impressive showing.

At Cov Cath, Luke is continuing to make huge strides, and he's only a junior. This is a PR in the 400. He just missed his PR in the 200 too.

I'm looking forward to seeing if the above mentioned Summe, Perry (both 3A), Venneman (2A), and Donnelly (1A) will all break 50.0 in the 400 this year. I don't think that has ever happened in NKY in the same season. :angrybird7:

I think Summe will. Works his butt off. I see him placing well at State in both 200 and 400. Perry edged him out last year and the battle between the two is great and they push each other. Can’t comment on the other two because I haven’t seen them run much last year. Good luck to all 4.

Look for the Scott girls to put up an interesting year. They return all 4 girls from last year's 4x100 and 4x200 teams. Both teams went to state and featured 1 soph, 1 Frosh and 2 8th graders.

Talk about time to gel as a group to get the small things like handoffs and block starts down to a T and get the speed where it needs to be they should be a crew that will dominate. Good luck Lady Eagles!

Looking forward to the battle between Perry and Summe for the next two years. Both very impressive runners.

We could see the battle begin Friday night depending on where Cooper is running at on Friday. CCH was going to run in a meet in Knoxville, TN but got canceled to to bad weather heading that way. CCH is sending the top guys to the Walton Verona meet and the rest to the Boone meet.

Cooper is also sending their top runners. Perry is scheduled to run but is nursing a hip flexor so I hope he can go.

Oh no. I talked to him after a few meets after him and Summe raced. Great Kid!!! As a coach it’s hard to decide to keep a runner in a meet and practice but if it is not to bad then you want to keep them going so they don’t get behind. I am a CCH guy but wish nothing but the best for Perry and hope he is OK. As a coach I’d sit him for a few weeks which may have already happened. I don’t want ANY kid to hurt themselves. Get well Dillon.

Perry didn’t run the open 400 and I don’t think that Cooper had a team in the 4x400. My guess is that he is still healing.....

Summe looked solid with a win in the 200 and 400.
