January 6, 20188 yr Bill Belichick 'sees an opening' to coach Giants: source - NY Daily News I dont see it happening, but there's a lot of smoke about Belichick leaving and going to New York. I don't either. The only thing where he might is to get a Jon Gruden type of contract (he may have a kicker in his to be the highest paid already). I don't see the Giants paying that kind of $$. They are fairly conservative for a New York team. One thing is almost certain now. With all this hoopla, they will win the Super Bowl again. They thrive on adversity. Never seen any sports franchise thrive on it like they do.
January 6, 20188 yr I read the article yesterday and came away believing that if the article is true then this is probably it for Belichick in New England. Today rumors are surfacing about Belichick to the Giants.

I agree that they thrive on adversity but I am not sold that this year’s team is good enough to use that adversity to win. I’ll also add that some of the best Patriots teams we have seen still didn’t win a Super Bowl.

HC experience, he's part of the Giants family, and he's a great coach. I just don't see it happening. I think he wants it in ways. He loves the Giants organization and there have always been rumors that if he ever left New England, the only job he'd want is the Giants. I think the Giants are still fond of him too, from his days there as a defensive coordinator. I just don't see it happening.
