Casey County 24 Garrard County 0

Good win for Casey.:thumb:

Casey County looked pretty good and Garrard played pretty poorly. I was saving my comments, but here goes:

On the opening night of the season, Garrard went to Barren County and won. They lost five straight games afterwards, and really only looked decent in the loss to George Rogers Clark. There had been questions all offseason and preseason about who Garrard should have played at quarterback.

When the starter was injured at Frankfort, the coaching start put the backup quarterback and starting wide receiver (Jared Prewitt) behind center. He played exceptionally well and led the Golden Lions to a 38-31 win over Grant County. It was obvious he was in control of the game and the other players responded to his senior leadership. Fans in Lancaster started to feel better about the season, especially with district games coming up.

So what do they do at Casey?...Prewitt took about ten snaps in the first half before Garrard went whole-heartedly to the THIRD STRING quarterback. In all fairness, the third stringer has the potential to be pretty good, but its too late in the season to be throwing him into the fire, especially when you had success with the other guy. As you can tell, Garrard was unable to put any points on the board. The next day, it was even stated by some that Garrard missed the original starting quarterback! What am I missing here?!

Here's what I know. Garrard County will struggle to beat Wayne County in Monticello next week and I'm not betting on a season-ending win at home over Corbin. That sets up an impossible first round playoff game at Corbin, meaning the season could end quickly. It seems like Garrard County threw away all offensive momentum they had, along with a chance to MAYBE be 2-0 in the district going into the final game, by making this change at quarterback. Now they are looking at 2-9 and another long offseason. Starting to get a bit restless in Garrard County.

Not sure how many snaps he took but he rushed the ball 6 times. One of his carry was for 20 yards the other 5 combined were for -5 yards this could be why they went to the air not sure. They did throw at him 10 times he caught 6 for 35 yards. The other quarterback was 12-24, 2 Ints and 122 yards. They did have 200 yards of offense just didnt score.
