Do you know of another paper that will be giving this game coverage? I imagine the Greenup News will. As far as the ref's are concerned after many years reffing games i realize no game is totally fair. This is football. There were blantent things going on. It also seemed like the spotting of the ball was an issue. One of the biggest. No room for complaints with the score being what is was but no team needs to play the team and the officiating team. The Nicholas County coach and their photographer also told our crowd to shut-up. It just set the game up for poor sportsmanship across the board.

I can understand how Nicholas County folks could have been anoyed by Raceland fans cheering right behind their bench. Thats the way the field is setup. There was no taunting only exeultation.

I can understand that also, but Raceland carries a large fan base. It isn't unusual for us to outnumber the home team's crowd when we play away. This was the case last night. Remember too, we have a great student pep club. There was no visitors bleachers so our fans had to sit on Nicholas County's side of the field.

First of all welcome to the site tb, glad to have you and Your are correct in the way the NCHS facilities are set up. I haven't been there in quite a few years but Raceland always has had trouble with some of their fans there I believe.

:thumb: There is really only a very few road games that Raceland fans do not out number the home team fans.

I remember one game where their were some high school kids pacing back & forth taunting our fans. This went on for about 2 quarters. Finally my wife spoke to the boys and said; "If you boys have all this energy and are so mean, why aren't you playing football"? They left without an answer never to be heard from again.:thumb: I then spoke up & ask if anybody knew who this lady was!!!!!

Just a fine memory from a great high school football game.:thumb:
