Jumper_Dad Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Just wondering if any players expected to go in the draft this year will be sitting out the Bowl games? Would you sit out if you were looking to be drafted and your team was playing in the Weedeater Bowl or the First and Farmers Savings and Loan Bowl? Would you at least fake a minor injury to have an excuse to not play if you chose not to? Most will be done with school this week and could start preparing for the draft and not take a chance of getting hurt in what is for all but 4 teams meaningless Bowl Games.
GrantNKY Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 There is still only one position I think it might be playing the odds to sit out and that's running back. Would Saquon Barkley sit out? I don't think so. But he's the only situation where I think people would be in his ear to sit out.
Tones Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 There is no reason that Josh Rosen should play in the Cactus Bowl. Probably a top 5 pick with nothing to gain by playing in the game and a lot to potentially lose.
Oldercoach Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 I suspect L. Jackson is pretty close to a final decision. Tough option to decide. Suspect he is getting pulled in lots of directions.
