November 23, 20178 yr For a few years now we have bought ready made pumpkin pie instead of making one ourselves for our Thanksgiving dinner. We have always purchased Frisch's pumpkin pie because I thought it tasted best. However, the last two years Frisch's pie really hasn't been up to the standards of past pies. I just wonder if they are cutting corners on the recipe nowadays. Maybe some BGPers can suggest other ready made pumpkin pies that are pretty good. By the way, latest pie test was Meijer brand pie, it was way too sweet. Your taste changes over time. It could be you and not Frisch's. For my family, Frisch's is numero uno.
November 23, 20178 yr Author Picked up a Pumpkin Supreme pie from Bob Evans. Very good, has a pumpkin layer, a cream cheese layer and a pumpkin cream cheese mixed layer.

November 24, 20178 yr I can't complain about the by 2017 Frisch's. So good I had to cut a 2nd sliver.
