That's a huge hit but this year there has been quite a few shut outs and they've won weeks because of it.

That would make sense to me. Mainly, because in essence you are scoring twice in all the categories. When a team pitches a shutout, they've likely already accumulated a lot of points for int's, FR's, yards allowed etc. So it turns a nice 20 point day into 40 which really throws off the balance. Plus defense is so random (as well as kickers) in scoring. No other position gets such a big bonus in this league. In fact, with no PPR and no fractions of points, the scoring can be really stingy for all other positions, except for maybe QB. My though would be to either keep the big bonus and eliminate the total yards allowed scoring, or just have a total yards allowed bonus. I've played in more than a few leagues, and this is the only one that has given points to a defense based on yards allowed. All that being said, I'm obviously one of the big benefactors of the scoring, and the Raven's have basically the only thing between my current record and only having 1 or 2 wins.
