November 13, 20178 yr Man-oh-man is Mike Ness a bad dude. They were a semi-punk (kind of cowpunk, I guess) band like Jason and The Scorchers who should've made it big. Mike wrote better songs than Jason Ringenberg, though. This is a relatively recent song. Really good.
November 13, 20178 yr I love Social D, we saw them at Bogarts about 5 years ago, they were incredible. Social Distortion's popularity in Southern California in the 80's was second to none. KROQ in LA and independent ran 91X out of San Diego/TJ platforms have been Social D driven for 4 decades. Springsteen considers Mike Ness a Rock God. I sat next to Ness at Duke's in Huntington Beach, he was having dinner with his wife. It was a couple of days before Christmas, my 3 year son decided to launch a saucer plate towards him and shattered everywhere. He thought it was pretty funny.
