Larue County was very effective pounding it against E-Town until E-Town pulled away and Larue had to go to the air. I could see PT doing the same. More interesting than people think.

I agree. Tilghman has the playmakers and athletes to match E-town. If Tilghman can move the ball methodically and keep E-town's offense off the field, they have a shot. E-town is prone to mistakes if you let them

Not a chance that Paducah Tilghman keep this game close

E-town has too much speed and you know what they say about speed. Paducah Tilghman lost to Caldwell County, the last time E-town saw Caldwell County, they took them out back to the woodshed 35-10

E-town 42

Paducah Tilghman 14

If Paducah Tilghman can keep from turning the ball over, the Blue Tornado will make a lot of Elizabethtown folks very uncomfortable Friday night.

Tilghman is probably the most physical football team I've seen this year. But they have trouble hanging on to the ball sometimes.

Anything can happen, but I certainly wouldn't bank on that happening. Tilghman's defense is really, really good right now. If we turn the ball over 7 or 8 times like we did against Christian, the score would obviously dictate that. If not, no way Etown is scoring that much. May the best team win.

Etown 47

Paducah Tilghman 13

This was the score of last years 2nd round game. Etown returned all but 3 starters from that team. PT going to a smash mouth style of offense will keep this years game closer but Etown should still win handily. Larue co was effective against Etown for the opening drive of the game before the Panthers figured out how to stop the wishbone and then reeled off 35 unanswered points. I think the outcome of this game will be similar. Competitive for qtr or so and then the Panthers will pull away and move on. 35-7 Etown

1) E-town is good; very good.

2) E-town is good; very good.

3) E-town is good;very good.

4) E-town DID NOT reel off 35 unanswered points against LaRue County. LaRue ran 40 something offensive snaps in the first half. Their 1st drive went for almost 20 plays and a score, and they had another drive at the end of the first half that took another 15 + plays before time ran out on the E-town 20.

5) In the 2nd half LaRue lost two OL on the same play in their first drive; then went to their Spread looks where they made the game 28-13 on a 50+ yard run late 3rd/early 4th before E-town tacked one on late in the game after a LaRue turnover on downs on their own 10 with about 2:00 left in the game.

By the way; did I say E-town was good and very well coached? That need not get lost in translation nor taken away.

They are STILL the overwhelming favorite to come out of Region 1 and maybe the entire west (as they should be), but there were some corrections that needed to be tended to in your depiction of the game.

35-14 Panthers.... The score could be closer if the turnover battle goes PTs way, but, too much E'Town in this one.. The thing with Tilghman is they play themselves a very tough schedule and won't be awed in this one as they've seen teams as good, but, I just don't think they have enough offense to keep up in this one..

I don't buy that E-Towon will run away with this game. I believe they should advance being at home, but PT has played a challenging schedule and has improved game by game all year. Steve Duncan can coach and he will have a good game plan to slow the Panther's O. Should be a good game. I say E-Town in a close one.

Another interesting factor in the game will be former E-town assistant Steve Duncan returning as head coach of the Blue Tornado.
