October 23, 20178 yr We meet up with some friends and went to see Blue Oyster Cult at Belterra and I'm sorry to say it was a train wreck. I know folks are gonna say they are old, washed up or whatever, but we saw Doobie Brothers at EKU in September and they absolutely killed it. Great concert! BOC needs some close friends or family to let them know it's time to hang it up. Man it was like the band that was practicing on the movie Slingblade. I felt sorry for em. :isurrender:

Adoration of fans...the screaming, singing along with the songs...being in the spotlight...it's a drug. Same reason most professional athletes would play forever if their body would let them, they love the high of being in the spotlight. Musicians can (usually) do that on up into old age.

October 24, 20178 yr Groupies? As long as they put the band in handicap rooms so the ladies can get their walkers and wheelchairs through the doors. Band dinner at 5:30...groupie sex at 7:00...lights out by 9:30.
October 25, 20178 yr Author I assume that they didn't have enough cowbell? Actually no physical cowbell. The keyboard player supplied the very low wooden sounding cowbell. Terrible!
