Danville 46 Carroll Co 13

Danville led 21-7 at the half. Carroll County ran a fumble back for a TD early in the third to cut it to 21-13. Then the wheels came off. If Danville is the best team in class A it's a down year. They were about as flat as any team I've seen. Probably playing down to their competition. The Ads still had the starters in mid-way through the 4th quarter.

Class A is not down. There may be more parity. However, Class A's performance against higher enrollment schools should show that it is still a very strong Class.

Its just hard to get up for a game like Carroll County. Bethlehem was only up 6-0 at the half to Campbellsville, who is bad. Then they sort of jogged to a 31-0 win. Holy Cross only beat Fort Knox 35-14. Bardstown was only up 13-6 at half last week vs. Campbellsville, before cruising.

The weather's getting cooler, school Fall Breaks and Homecoming's are happening, its the weak part of district schedules, and there's really not a lot to draw their focus.

Danville is the team to beat right now in Class A.

After what I saw tonight it will be a tall order for the Ads to win it all. Sure, it is hard to get up for a team like Carroll County but I've seen Danville for several years in a row now and they just aren't the same. They had no fire whatsoever tonight. Carroll County has never been world beaters but they are down this year, even for them. I realize there is no Kelvin Turner on this team but they threw the ball close to 50% of the time, not because they were working on something but because on several drives they were looking at 3rd and 12 or 3rd and 15. I'm sure they weren't very worried and the game was never really in doubt but they just weren't the same dominating team that we are used to seeing come up here every other year.

Danville is the team to beat. Don't judge their ablility by a bad game. Everybody is due a stinker. They won the game so there really isn't nothin else to say about that.

Carroll Co. did come to play with nothing to lose. Danville also had out Jeff guest Starting RB and DB they also had out Chuck Elliott Starting OL. Danville's Defense I thought Looked very strong!Rich Witten Starting QB.was pulled the entire 4th Quarter! Special Teams did not play well!

Danville always finds a game or two to play down to their competition, not to take anything away from Carroll Co. Those kids play hard every play.

Danville will come in and make the correct adjustments for the next game and continue to get better, the games that DHS has played are games that are winnable but tough opponents. IMO I can see Danville turning it up a notch and start to click on all cylinders as they prepare for a run at it all.

Was refering to the size of Carrolls kids not the size of the schools.I was meerly tipping my cap to a bunch of under-sized kids who FLAT out got after a pretty darn good football team,

Yea I was right on the sidelines and those guys did make some very good solid hits!Danville needed a team to step up against them. Carroll Co.QB.made some very nice passes. This should be a good learning experience for both teams. They may be playing against each other here soon when the playoffs begain. goodluck to the Carroll Co.team the rest of the season!
