October 7, 20179 yr Great game, and honestly, I was happy with how FSU seemed to step up in the fourth quarter. That offense might actually have a shot. Had that offense shown up in the first half, perhaps Miami wouldn't have even been in position to make it a game. Noles defense was dominant in the first half, but only were staked to a 3-0 lead. Miami for their part made fantastic adjustments in the second half, and at that point we had a game worth watching. The Hurricanes needed this win after the last few years of letting it slip from them. They've got a good up and coming team, and this will be huge momentum for them. FSU really could have used the win, but much more than their previous weeks, moving forward I feel better about their shot at some games. I could see them losing to just about any team left on their schedule (other than that cupcake before Florida), but their trip to Clemson is the only one I really KNOW they're going to lose. The win is a little bit bigger in terms of what it says for their position in the state of Florida. That's what is really hurting them.
October 7, 20179 yr It was a good game, fun to watch. I love watching that game wish FSU would have won.
October 7, 20179 yr Also, FSU's offensive line had easily their best game of the year - may be in years. Miami still got to Blackman some, but he had actual time on many throws. And the running game was actually working this time around. Trickett better keep coaching every single week like his job absolutely depends on it. It 100% does. Kelly meanwhile also saw his defense turn in a great effort. While I wasn't thrilled with the second half effort and it really stunk to see them allow two Miami touchdowns in the last half quarter, their defense played so well in the first half that I'll give them a pass.
October 7, 20179 yr Author I love watching that game wish FSU would have won. I watch it every year, one of my favorite games to watch.
October 7, 20179 yr Tough game for FSU. I'm not prepared to say the U is "back" but they are well on their way.
