WOW that is an impressive win for the Breds,Looks like there is going to be a new sheriff in the 10th this year.:scared:

I am not sure of the game stats . I'll have to ask my daughter when she wakes up . She is one of their assistant coaches.

Newport Central Catholic's lone seniors, outside hitters Katelynn Koeninger and Shannon Klei, combined for nine kills on Senior Night as the Thoroughbreds (21-7) knocked off Ryle (23-11), 25-20, 25-12.

 

Koeninger added two aces and Klei two assists for NewCath, ranked fourth in the Northern Kentucky coaches' poll.

 

Sophomore outside hitter Alyx Schulte led NewCath with 14 kills, while sophomore setter Kaela Freppon added 21 assists.

 

Ryle, ranked third, was led by junior middle hitter Kirsten Allen's six kills and senior setter Kristen Weiss' 11 assists.

Is this an upset? I thought I saw some rankings where NC was 3rd behind NDA and SHDHS.
