I had a cousin who was a running back for Coach Servino who allowed his finacee to schedule a wedding during the football season. I wonder why St. Martha was available in the first place. I reminded him when he got engaged there are 36 other weeks of the year, stay out of football season. My aunt is still unhappy that I missed the wedding!

At least my wedding was scheduled on an open date in 1993 (UK was off and U of L was on the road). There were no excuses! Alas, I missed my last varsity game while on my honeymoon. The marriage ended after 7 years. The football streak continues, with game #342 this Friday!

 

I got married 10-14-06. We played at Ballard the night before on Friday the 13th. The Rocks won 70-7. Ballard came out cocky, taunting the SHAMROCK sideline.

Funny side note. The night before, UofL hosted Cincinnati. The Bearcats came out and stomped the Bird at center field. They lost 77-(Either 7 or 0)

Anyway, I digress. My wedding went off without a hitch, (lol, except for getting hitched) and 11 years later all is well with 3 future Rocks.

Beat the rocks

We got married on Ohio St Michigan game day in 1984. It was not a well attended wedding but great reception. Earlier in 1980, Miami of Ohio moved our game on Ohio State -Michigan to 11:00 am to avoid the conflict at 3:30 pm. Still very small crowd.

Make it 13 out of the last 14. This never gets old.

From what I've read and heard it seems like both teams have some tough kids. This could be a knock-down-drag-out.
