Tough loss for the Rams to a pretty good Portsmouth West team. This is the type of close game against a quality opponent that will make Raceland better in the long run.

Can we hold off on the Raceland/Somerset game thread? I'm going to do a game of the week article for it. It should be posted sometime tomorrow.

West is a good team. We shot ourselves in the foot with turnovers. Do that against good teams and you lose. A pick 6 on our opening drive. A fumble on the snap inside our own 20 and a fumble inside their 20 when we were driving. Thats 10 points for them and at least 3 probably off the board for us. They made plays when they needed them. Great effort from their kids they were hungry and played hard.

Exactly .....The Rams D played well enough to win. West was an excellent football team and as you said, give them the ball 3 times w/ under 20 yds. to score = Loss, every time

The Ram players are going to have to get past this one , and quick . Sommerset coming in next week and they, in jmo may be the best team that Raceland will face all season.

With convincing wins over 1A heavywieghts Williamsburg away (W) 25 - 8, Hazard (20-9) and a narrow loss to #1 Beechwood (0-7) ,,,,,,Those "Rabbits" can hunt :eek
