Heisman Watch Week 3

Featured Replies

Who are the Heisman favorites After Week 3?

  • Author

1) Saquon Barkley

2) Baker Mayfield

3) Mason Rudolph

4) Lamar Jackson

I picked Mayfield to win it a week after they announced the winner last year. No reason for me to change my mind on that now.

I think Baker Mayfield will win it.

Not sure if anyone watched the Oklahoma State game yesterday, but Mason Rudolph threw for about 450 yards and 5 TDs... in the first half. He only played a series or two in the second half.

At this point. I'm going to say the winner comes from the winner of the second OU/ OSU game (Big 12 champ game). I have Barkley at the top of my list right now but he has two big games against good defenses left. Mayfield and Rudolph basically only have to play each other twice and both can put up huge numbers against the other teams defense. I'm not sure Barkley will put up monster numbers against Michigan and Ohio State.

I picked Rudolph before the season because of the Oklahoma State schedule and his ability to put up video game numbers. I am still not sure how good he is, despite being higher up on draft boards.

He has a great supporting cast around him. Much more so than anyone else on this list IMO. But if Ok St keeps rolling like I expect them too. His numbers are going to unbelievable. This alone gives him a great chance.

Hurts?

Hurts?

Yes, the QB for Alabama. He'll be there in the end if/when they're undefeated.

The numbers won't be there.

The numbers won't be there.

We shall see.

Rushing numbers are better than Jackson's. His passing numbers aren't going to be huge, but his entire body of work will get him to NYC IMO.

If they take 3 guys I don't see voters taking a spot away from a guy with much better numbers. Maybe if they send 5 guys to NYC again he could maybe snag that final spot but he will have to improve his play significantly.
