This was a great football game. It came down to the last play. FS missed a FG that would have sent it to OT.

 

The sad part is that most everyone who was at the game will remember the nearly 300 yards of penalties flagged. Not the tremendous effort of the two teams on the field.

Tough physical game. Very exciting but marred by a horrendous amount of penalties. Seemed like most of them went against Meade but FS had their share.

 

Both teams had to pass more than they normally like to but both were pretty good at it. FS pass defense, particularly the pass rush, was much better tonight.

 

Felt so bad for our freshman kicker. Short field goal miss at the buzzer but it was a bad angle from the left hash. He is already a good kicker and may be a great one as he gets older and stronger. Consistent on extra

points and usually kicks off to about the 10 yard line. I think he will hit a lot of big kicks before his time at FS is over.

 

These kinds of games will help FS come district and playoff time. They are improving each week.

Actually the yardage each team was penalized was nearly equal.

Kicker needs to grow up quick...throwing helmet, taking off your pads, and not shaking other teams hand after missing is inexcusable! A good hard hitting football game that went down to the wire.

He will. Kid is a freshman who obviously never had been in that situation before. He has great potential.

Also you would do well to not be slamming a 14 year old kid and ignore the two adults that were ejected from the game.
