By vantage point I should have been more clear. I was waiting in line for a chick'fil'a sandwich only to find out they were sold out. :ohbrother:

Seriously though, the coaching staff should have handled it better. The game wasn't out of reach for Ironton at that point. Just take the bad call on the chin and get a defensive stop.

I think he had to get the first penalty. The 2nd one wasn't necessary and I agree he needed to show more control. Hard to teach your kids discipline when you can't show it yourself.

Not surprised about the victory, but surprised about the point difference of the victory.

In other news I don't think Ratliff's shoulder is bothering him all that much. He played a great game, rushing for a touchdown while passing for two more while completing 13 of his 19 attempts. He played a pretty heady game last night and it showed in the second half as the offense started clicking.

Early in the season Ashland's offense was struggling to do much of anything. They're starting to click now, I love the use of the short slant passes to the TE or to athletes that can turn those short passes into 20+ yard games at any moment. I was worried about the offense early in the season, not so much now. The defense is outstanding as well, but they needed some help from the offense to keep from spending most of the game on the field.

Get the ball in #5 #8 and especially #6s hands and good things happen. #10 will get his

Agree. Ratliff showed great composure and played smart football last night, the same should be said for the play calling from the coaching staff. Ironton may be down, but this was a well executed game for the Tomcats. These cat's have came a long way since the opener against Harlan County.
