Congratulations to Ironton

Figured it would be a closer game. Ashland Russell might be a game similar to last season.

Right now I think Ashland will win but you never know that's why they play the game.

Coach Maynard said Ashland would probably be the best team Russell plays regular season. I agree

I think we win too but 8-7 or something similar would be a lot of scoring from these 2 right now and congrats to Ironton.

After getting their brains pummeled by a very, very good Wheelersburg team last week, Ironton needed this one.

There's no shame in admitting it, Russell's a bit of a mess right now. But, it's early still and what really matters most is that this team gets itself sorted out by the time district play rolls around.

 

I can live with being 0-2. But the lack of effort at times tonight was troubling. At least against Greenup, the Devils battled back and showed some grit after falling behind. It wasn't there tonight. I'm not going to pretend like I have all the answers, so I'm not going to be overly critical here. But this team needs to find itself soon before this season gets away from them. It doesn't take long for that to happen in this sport.

 

I have faith that Coach Maynard and his staff know what they're doing. This team can still have a good season. But they're going to have to dig themselves out of a hole to do it. Personally, I can't wait to see where this team goes from here. Hopefully up.

The 'Burg looks worthy of a date at the Horseshoe in early December. I think they're that good, especially with Coldwater dropping down to D6 this year. That removed a huge hurdle for the Pirates.
