Is it just me or is Bell Co getting back to its old ways after a couple of uncharacteristic down years ??

I think Bell is improved, but they have beat three teams that went a combined 10-24 in 2016.

Pike Central is literally the epitome of a "middle of the pack" 3A team and until the 4th Quarter this was a back and forth game.

Bell's schedule is designed to collect wins this year.

The fact of the matter is Pike Central should not be able to hang within 5 TD's of the top 7 or 8 teams in 3A.

Bell will be much more competitive, but they are still light years away from the level Bell was 4 or 5 years ago...

Bell Co. was down last year, which could be attributed to a lot of factors, which included hiring a new coach very late and then providing him with virtually no asst. coaches. Add to that their best player went down with a season ending knee injury in the first game and things kind of fell apart. They did go 10-3 in 2015 and 9-3 in 2014 in Wayne Mills last 2 years as the head coach, which is the level I would expect them to peak at in a couple of years.
