August 22, 20179 yr I am in the market for some high quality Wrought Iron Chairs that will last and accommodate a 300 pound beast man if called upon. I don't want junk and I certainly don't want any tiny chairs that look good in advertisements but are too small for anyone over a Buck 75. I want Rockers and if they Swivel I won't complain but that is not necessary. Recommendations? Links?
August 22, 20179 yr @theguru There's a new 6500-sq ft. antique shop in Latonia called Half & Half Antiques located at 3630 Decoursey Ave. Hours: Tues-Sat 11:00-7:00 Sun 11:00-5:00 In their entrance display window just today I saw a counter level army green wrought iron set of two chairs w/ square light colored wide cushioned seats, and a matching round glass top table for the asking price of $140. They didn't rock or swivel, nor are they the type of chairs that you would sink down into. They sit up high with a lower rung to rest your feet on much like bar chairs. Though I didn't try them out as they were in the window, they did appear to be sturdy. From what I could tell this set was the only patio type furniture within the whole store. Here's an article about this new shop: New "Antiques General Store" Opens in Latonia | The River City News Also: Though I haven't been there in months, I do believe that Riverside Antique Mall on Kellogg typically has a fairly wide variety of patio furniture to choose from, so they might be an option as well. If you've never been it's easy to get lost in there for a couple of hours looking at all of the stuff, and especially things that bring back childhood memories. There's also a restaurant attached to the place called Swampwater Grill that serves cajun/creole type dishes. Personally, I liked it years ago when the restaurant was generic, and was associated with the antique mall, and you could go there and get a fantastic breakfast super cheap. Now it's casual dining prices, but not the deal and a half that it used to be. Wrought Iron is wrought iron for a reason...not to say they aren't out there but that will be a hard find and yes when you do find it it will come at a price. Amish wood rockers are easier to come by and with cushions may be more comfortable for your weight ceiling. Just sayin'....

I am not married to Wrought Iron, the old ones served me well for a long time. I am open to other suggestions everyone and I will check those out @Content1
