Not a game on the radar of most Kentucky high school fans, but the Pilots broke a 27-game losing streak, toppling their Volunteer State neighbors in the season opener. Fulton County's last win had come on September 5, 2014, when they beat Fulton City 20-18. The last Fulton County win over a team other than Fulton City was a 38-21 victory over now-defunct Reidland on September 2, 2011.

As someone that lived in both Fulton City and Fulton County districts I keep up with those schools and I'm always happy when they win.

Indeed. The 1993 team was outstanding. Lost 7-0 to Bardstown in the state semifinals.
